This poem is for my sister.. She and her husband are divorced because he cheated on her. As much pain as the whole experience has brought her and their daughter, I truly feel it's for the best. Sides of his character we never imagined have been revealed these last few months. He really and truly is not good enough for her. She's a strong woman and she deserves better than he could ever be.
I feel for her every day
The woman who kept
Believing in a man
who can’t be believed
She raised him up,
Inflated his ego
Merely so he could
Pinprick hers
and deflate her heart
in the process
