Calm and Centered
To make your magick more effective, build up emotional and psychic intensity and focusing clearly on your goal:
  Find a very smooth, rounded stone, smaller then you fist and put on some soothing music.  It is recomended that begginers do this in a fully cast circle.  
  Sit while holding the stone listening to your music quietly in a room or our doors if the weather is nice, breathe deeply and rythemically.  Begin inhaling through your mouth and exhaling through your nose.  With each exhalation draw your breath out longer.  Breathe your tension and aniety into the stone.  When you feel calm and centered, put the stone on the ground, open your circle (if you cast one).  The stone will dispose the tension and anxiety into the earth, if you want you can go back for your stone in a day or two to use later on if you wish.
