How Stabbing Westward got their name? Well, Chris Hall and Walter Flakus started the band back in their college years at Western Illinois University. They both hated the school and the town because of it's very close minded attitudes. They were having trouble coming up with a name for the band, so they thought Stabbing Westward would be cool to show how they felt about the place. So there you have it.
