Welcome to the home of Hollins University's Greek Breakfast.
The Greek Breakfast was established in the fall of 2002 by the Ancient Greek students as a way to prepare for class and destress over the difficulties of learning Greek. This year we continue the tradition, inviting the elementary Greek students to join us for homework help, study tips, and a commiserating shoulder to cry on. Group hugs are not out of the realm of possibility. Though at the moment we are at a loss for a permanent meeting time (breakfast no longer being convenient) we are available almost any time by calling Stacey (x6969) or Molly (x6160).
This page will provide helpful links for beginning and continuing Ancient Greek students as well as fun links for the classics geek.
Helpful links:
Best site I've run across for principal parts. It's in the form of a drill, but much easier to find the first pp of an irregular verb than flipping through the Middle Liddell.
Chock full of useful links to other tutorials, fonts, lexicons, and supplementary texts available online.
A subpage of Greek Elementary Training that is specifically for grammar.
Links to free online translations of texts by eighty different Greek authors.
The source for Greek and Latin texts, in the original or in translation. Clicking on a word in the Greek will bring up a translation of the word as well as the potential forms it could be.
