Dad just purchased a computer, so he is newbie to the net, but he can be emailed and most generally replies back to them :)
Dad was born on August 13, 1952 in Saudi Arabia. His parents, H. Warren and Dorothy Modricker were missionaries in Somalia, Africa for a LONG time! (they went over in the 30's). Not only was Dad born on the 13th, but his twin sister, Joy was too!
Dad came back and forth to the
states when my grandparents were on furlough. He finally stayed in
the states in 1970, when he graduated from High School. In 1970,
he started college at Taylor University, in Upland, Indiana. Taylor
is where he met my mother, Sheila
Thomas-Modricker. My Dad and Mom married each other on May 21,
1972.
In 1997 they celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary!
At the present time, my father is working for Gripco Fasteners in Montpelier, Indiana. This company is owned and operated by Black and Decker. It is a NUT factory!!! Everyone who works there must be nuts:) Actually, they just make them there (no, not the ones you eat!) He has worked for Gripco forEVER! Ok, not really forever, because everywhere he works, they end up going out of business! Actually, it has been like 15 years or something like that!
In his spare time, when the nuthouse is not working him to death, Dad enjoys working outside in the yard, planting all sorts of flowers! Our yard looks like a funeral home sometimes, but I must admit, it is the best darn yard on the south end of HC! Not only does he like to plant flowers, but he also enjoys gardening in the summer. I am not sure if it is so much ENJOYING it or rather putting fresh food on the table!
Dad also enjoys stamp collecting, which he has been doing for eons, surfing the net, and spending time with the clan.
