| In series 3 Susan decided that she had nothing left for her in Chicago now she hadnt got Susie. After a visit to Chloe and Little Susie she decided that she was going to transfer to Phoenix and live with them. In this episode Susan learns Marks true feelings and reveals her own. |
| Six years later Susan returns to Chicago after she decides not to follow her sister and little Susie to San Francisco. We see her get a job back in the ER room and it soon seems like she never left. |

| After Chloe abandons Susie, Susan has the agonising decision to make about whether or not she would be able to keep her or have to give her up. She decides that she couldnt give her up as she loves her too much. |
