| There are two charts available for The Castle, one that is hand drawn and contains a three-toed dragon, and one that is computer generated and can be found in the Best of Teresa Wentzler book. This page is dedicated to tips and corrections concerning the patterns (most of the corrections have already been made in the Best of... book). |
| A dragon's wing There are many stitchers who have been looking for the rest of that has been charted for the pattern. | All the colors listed here are DMC. *The II symbol in the confetti (streamer) on the dragon's foot should instead be # (793). *The A symbol that appears in the confetti (streamer) on the dragon's tail should be the right-side up triangle (792). *On the right side of the dragon's spade there is a vertical line of three x symbols in the inner edge (next to the w's). The x should be the symbol r (315/3041). *The chart and the picture are different. The picture shows the dragon with its original three claws, and the chart contains four claws. *All the filled -in circle symbols on the lower right hand of the rocks should all be the very same (414/3041). *There are some V symbols on the trees at the bottom of the castle that should be ^ symol (an upside down V) (3345). *The / symbol that appears on the dragon's left wing on the far right feathering should be an x symbol (729). Hint: the / is located between some 3 symbols and the cursive e symbols close to the tower. *There are 1/4 stitches missing in the dragon's outstreched wing that can be filled in with a nearby color. *In the rocks in the far left bottom, there is an "L with a dot in it" symbol that should be just a plain old L symbol (3047/3042). It is outside of the backstitching and belongs with the other L's. *In the left part of the dragon's belly there is a single light colored 1 symbol within darker 3 symbols and 4 symbols that should really be a 4 symbol (520/501). *In the tower directly under the dragon's nose there are some - symbols that should be + symbols (778/648). *There is a c symbol on the right hand side next to the half-wing that should be an o symbol (224/647). Hint: this section is more easily visible in the overlap of the bottom section. *The re-printed leaflet has pink and magenta backstitch lines on the chart which are only shown as black and gray in the color code/instruction page. Due to this printing error, Leisure Arts will supply you with a corrected color code/ instruction page with contains the proper backstitch coloring at no charge.
