How can I make you understand?
You made me happy and carefree
But I know now where I need to be

I love Dawson and always will
I just hope he loves me still
Andie still loves you can't you see
You were first loves and were meant to be
Pacey let's go of Joey's hand
And tells her that he understands
He lets her go and watches her run
She’s racing the clock and the setting sun
Joey runs to Dawson and takes his hand
Looks in his eyes and hopes he understands
You were my first love and are my soul mate
I hope that my timing is not too late
I never meant to break your heart
Please give me a chance and us a fresh start
Dawson grabs Joey into an embrace
Kisses her lips and caresses her face
Looks in her eyes and strokes her hair
And thanks God for bringing her there
Dawson tells Joey can't you see
Gretchen never meant anything to me
She was a crush I had long ago

Pacey goes to Andie and places her hand
Over his heart and begs she understand

Gretchen goes on back to school

Yes, this poem has a point to it
If it doesn't feel right then don't just do it
Unlike these people we don't live on TV
And the things we all do could affect you or me
We should grow up and be trustworthy
No matter how buff Jack is nor Jen how curvy
I love all these guys how much you'll never know
But this is my favorite TV show
I will always say "long live Dawson's Creek!"
But in the end I know it will be bittersweet.
