Footy Trip 2002

 ECHUCA 2002

The Spurs yet again ventured off to Echuca, for the third year in a row.  25 of the Spurs took off in Mick's reliable buses and headed up the highway for the long haul.  It took a record 4 hours to reach the country town, as there were many stops along the way.

On arrival the Spurs had a quick change over and headed off to "The Mill", now called the "Red Dog".  The Spurs helped fill the club making the numbers 30 for the night.  They struggled home in the early hours of the morning, and on the way home one poor chap got caught up in the Spurs and landed himself somehow in a shopping trolley, that somehow ended up doing 60km/h and hitting the gutter, not sure how it happened??????.

Rise and shine Saturday morning, kick off time was 11.00am at the regular pub "The Harvest", late comers for the second year in the row, was Jas, but this time girlfriend Mon, was with him.  Due to their late entrance they had to face the penalties, two shots and two full sculls of the drinks of their choice.  Both of them were impressive downing the shots and the sculls, however both of them followed up with a trip to the toilets.

The harvest once again looked after the Spurs and Tina Bobarina put the show on, but not as good as the show she put on the way home on the highway.  Blokky was in fine form, pouring drinks like she thought she was out of cocktail, talking of Richards don't know how one appeared on the captain?

Dorisina was the biggest hit, the young girl who had travelled with the Spurs for the weekend, wonder what her mother thought.  Lucy  & Lozza brought the folks along, while Youngin ,Sammy and mother Mish cheered the black and white on and  Brooke didn't even say a word.  Jenno was sculling the pots like they were going out of fashion, while Alana was showing her assets.

Henry had a shandy, while Minnow down 30 beers.  Tania Baker was scanning the room ready for attack, while Robo just watched in amazement at the Spurs.  Shannon and Nova sat at the bar setting everyone up, while  Dee chattered to Bombar.   Angie Tuppen sipped her Bourbon, while Chippy pranced around in the ugly dress for her efforts on Friday night. And as for Barney and Kosti they just talked and talked.
