Carol-Playing Tour - by Cycle
The Stalham District
British Legion Band collected £47 0s 9d. on their carol-playing tour of the
district. The money will be used for new uniforms and the maintenance of
equipment.
With Bandmaster G. Thirst in charge, visits were made to Barton and Neatishead,
Catfield, Sutton, Lessingham, Ingham, Smallburgh. They played on three evenings
in Stalham.
Bandsmen cycled to engagements despite frost, fog and rain and the band was
never less than ten in number.
