Thank you again for the excellent tour. That was definitely the most,
thorough, interesting and informative tour that I have ever had.

Again a big thanks for the days I spent with you and Galina It was an
absolutely wonderful and interesting experience. I'm very lucky to have found
such a dedicated guide and hope you will manage to maintain this level of
seriousness and devotion for future visitors.
I was deeply touched by certain visits (cemetery of reconciliation, Mamayev
Hill, ...), but that was perfectly balanced with the "fieldwork" (Don River
heights, Gumrak, ...) which will be of great help in my further reading
about the tragic events in and around Stalingrad.
It was a great trip thanks to you both and all of those people !
We shall meet again.

Dear Evgeny (as well
as Galina and all in Volgograd who were so gracious)
This is a belated,
but no less heartfelt, note of gratitude for conducting a wonderful tour of
Stalingrad (as I continue to think of it) inside and out. But more than that,
for your thoughts on so many topics of Russian history and life. I can't
imagine a more knowledgeable and enlightened guide on this monumental event
and the political, geographic, historic and personal context. Please also
thank Alexandra and Anatoly for telling us about their experiences

I enjoyed our time and touring with you very, very much. I appreciate and
understand the struggle for Stalingrad in a way that I never could from
books. Your knowledge of the battles and your city are truly exceptional,
and your senses of humor and energy made every part of the trip delightful.
I can't thank you enough for your care, concern and hard work.

I found Volgograd a very friendly city and only a short flight from
Moscow. The tours were very interesting and captured the imagination. I
would recommend them.

Evgeny Kulichenko's tour of the killing fields
and streets of Stalingrad is a remarkable experience. He combines a comprehensive
and clear historical understanding of the battle with painfully human
perspective.A perspective that brings the reality of one of the bloodiest
battles in human history to visceral life.An unforgettable tour.

...thank you for all the effort you both put into our
recent tour to Stalingrad ,making it a truly unique experience.
It has taken me a couple of weeks to return to normal, I was so wrapped up in
the tour. I have been on many visits to many Battlefields, but did not go to any
others tour that would be better than this one to Stalingrad!!
To see places I have only read about and have met such wonderful friendly
people is something I will remember forever and I hope to return again next
year. Your great knowledge of the Battle together with the personal experiences
of the veterans gave us a unique insight into one of the greatest Battles and
victories in History…

Dear Evgeny and Galina,
I want to say thank you very much for your care all the tour, especially in
Moscow, I imagine it was a hard test for you and I think you settled up
everything in magnificent way.
The Stalingrad Tour was simply wonderful. Everything was better than the best I
expected, starting with the number of places we visited. It's difficult to
imagine visiting more places in the same period of time.
I'm sorry because my English don't let me explain everything more extensively,
but I must try to say that the veterans' presence was great, above all Anatoly,
he was almost every day with us and that made all the experience so special...
The explanations of the sights were very good. I think that if there was someone
who didn't know very much about the Battle had enough information, and those who
knew more learned a lot too.
More information would have been too much, in my opinion; nobody can assimilate
more information...
In short, the tour was a wonderful experience, now I'm still trying to wake up
from this dream, thank you very much for making it possible, and making it so
well (and Galina, and Valentina, and Viktor) I will never forget those days.

… being in Russia was like a dream ! Your friendliness, warmth, kindness, the
dignity and courage of the veterans, the beauty of the landscape - all have
added to leave an impression that I will never forget and treasure the memory of
the trip always.
I have learnt a great deal, in all sorts of ways- about the Battle of
Stalingrad, about myself, and about people and their amazing capacity for
survival against all odds.
I would love to come back again one day. I sincerely hope that I will.

…I have never felt so tired after returning from an overseas trip before and
took a week to recover.
I certainly would like to thank yourself, Galina, Valentina, Victor and ,of
course, the veterans for your hospitality and friendship during the course of
our tour. This helped to make the tour such an excellent occasion apart from the
places we visited and the people we met…
The trip to the Don was my particular favourite but I enjoyed all our trips out
on to the steppe.
The picnic lunches which you provided were ideally suited to the type of tour…
My friend Clive Parkes has asked me to express his own enjoyment of the tour and
his intention to return to your city again in the future if it is possible.
Again, I stress the great time that I had with a grand group of people (both in
the tour and those who organised it day to day) and also with the wonderful
Russian people we were privileged to meet. Thank you.

Dear Evgeny and Galina,
I want to write you and express again how much I
enjoyed my week on the recent trip which Tony Noyes
organized with you. I had read about the battle ever
since I was a teenager, many years ago, and was always
interested in it. I thought at most to be able to
spend a day as an excursion from a river boat. But
seven days!!
The trip was well organized and covered all of the
sites in the city area as well as visiting the Don
crossing at Kalach, portions of the campaign eastward
towards Stalingrad, portions of the northern and
southern routes of encirclement, and the area of the
entrapped Sixth Army. The maps you provided were
excellent and we had plenty of time at each location.
I especially enjoyed attending all of the Victory
Day activities and the memorable picnic in the
afternoon.
Being able to hear the veterans recount their
experiences was invaluable; all of us enjoyed asking
them questions and having the opportunity of sitting
down for dinner and discussing various aspects of what
we had seen.
I know that anyone who goes on one of these trips
will not believe all that he (or she) sees. If you
have people from America who would like to talk to
someone who has been, please do not hesitate to have
them get in touch with me…

On behalf of Maria and myself I would like to express
my satisfaction on the tour in Volgograd. This really
was a trip we will both remember for the rest of our
life. As it was our first visit to Russia, we were very
pleased with the warmth of all the different people
we met during our stay. It certainly made me wish to
come back some day to learn more about Volgograd and
its surroundings. And with you and Galina as guides
nothing can go wrong. You did a very professional
job. I look forward to meeting you some other time.
Best wishes for you both from

…I write to express my thanks to you both again for a fascinating and emotional
visit to the Stalingrad battlefields. It was a great privilege to be able to
come back for a second visit, and to meet the veterans, old and new. It was
particularly pleasant to see Colonel Anatoly and Polina again.
With best wishes,

I am pleased to write a second reference for Galina and Evgeny Kulichenko.
We have just finished a perfect walking tour of the Stalingrad battlefield,
including attendance at the May 9th Remembrance and celebration events..
The Kulichenkos had organized the good hotel accommodation in the centre of
Stalingrad, couriered us to and from Moscow airport, arranged a coach for all
our transport requirements and ensured we were well fed and watered each day.
Their knowledge is very good and well presented, and we saw many things relating
to the battle that are unknown in the West.
I recommend them to you unreservedly, and will be happy to expand on this
reference if you wish.

Dear Galina and Evgeny
Let me start by saying "Thank You" from all of us, to you both, for a
wonderful visit. All your arrangements went well and we learnt a lot about
the Battle. Some of the places you took us to have never even been heard of
by us and these visits helped to give us the "big picture". The people you
introduced us to were fascinating, and without your help we could not have
done it.
To meet the veterans was more than we could have hoped for, as was the visit
to the Red October factory and FM Paulus house.
If your website visitors have any questions they are welcome to call me by e-mail, post, fax or
phone .Tony Noyes

Evgeny and Galina Kulichenko arranged an interesting and rewarding program for us.
In addition to the well-known sites of this battle, it has been possible to
visit some of the lesser known places outside the city of Stalingrad and to
meet and talk at length with local people and battle veterans,.
Their organizing and interpreting ability has been invaluable in making our
visit an unforgettable and rewarding experience

A wonderful trip with memorable and unique moments. Nothing was too much trouble and organization was superb. We were made to feel very much at home, and it was especially good to meet the veterans and to observe your wonderful ceremonies and celebrations on the 9th of May.
Again thanks for giving me the understanding and meaning of Stalingrad and what it means to you the Russian people. I shall treasure the memories you have given to me.

Dear Galina and Evgeny
May I add my own personal thanks to those you have already received .
I took back to England many fond memories of all the various things we had
seen, and the people we had met. I think we all felt that
meeting the veterans was an undoubted highlight, and which to me at any rate brought the events of almost 60 years ago so much nearer.
Once again, many thanks.

As an amateur military historian I was for many years
interested in traveling to the Stalingrad 1942/43 battlefield site. However,
I did have some anxiety about traveling to this rather distant location as I
did not speak Russian and had little knowledge of the local culture. My
difficulties ended when I found the guide services of Evgeny and Galina
Kulichenko. They were able to offer competent and prompt advice and support
for my trip arrangements and together they have an excellent knowledge of
the history of this the greatest land battle in human history. With the
Kulichenko's connections to the Stalingrad Veterans Association they were
able to arrange visits to remote and seldom visited battlefield sites and
organized interviews with local veterans and battlefield experts. The
transport and accommodations arrangements were very good. Evgeny and Galina
consistently showed a courteous and efficient style which combined with
their good sense of humor made this a fascinating and enjoyable experience.
I will return again and would highly recommend their services to anyone.
