The Honkytonk Man

Wayne Farris, aka Honkytonk Wayne, was an arrogant Elvis impersonator, a gimmick he riled up the fans with and successfully transfered over to the WWF in the late 80s. In Stampede, he was often seen in the company of Karachi Vice and teamed with many of the worst villains in the area. In the WWF, he still holds the record for longest single reign for an Intercontinental Title holder. He has had some success since the 80s, appearing in the WWF and WCW.
Farris is the cousin of the legendary Jerry Lawler and is a good friend of the Hart Family. He mainly works in independent federations in the Southern US States.
