Jushin Liger has been all over the world as a wrestler,
but is best known in his native Japan. He is a true innovator in the aerial
style of wrestling. He wrestles in a full body suit and names himself after
a popular Japanese television character.
Liger's time in Stampede as Fuji Yamada was very
short, but he did make an impact. As a result of Japanese wrestlers competing
in Stampede, most American and Canadian wrestlers were able to tour the
Orient and more Japanese wrestlers became known on this side of the Pacific.
Liger's battles with Brian Pillman in WCW are legendary.
Liger is still wrestling in Japan where he is a
top star in the New Japan territory.
