Sabu

Sabu is a fantastic aerial innovator and a modern day master of the hardcore style of wrestling. Sabu has been all over the world plying his trade as an insane high flyer willing to take any risk at all to win a match.
Sabu's rise to fame came as the protege of the original Sheik, a master of sadism who wrestled primarily in the 50s and 60s. Sabu gained a lot of experience in Japanese rings, especially in the hardcore styles practiced in Fronteir Martial-Arts Wrestling, which account for his high-flying, hardcore style. After working in Japan for a while, Sabu came across the Pacific, where he caught the eye of Paul Heyman of ECW. Heyman made Sabu one of the centrepieces of his Extreme Championship Wrestling. Western fans stood up and took notice.
After years of service with ECW, Sabu ran into contract problems and left the federation in 1999. Since then, Sabu has toured through independent arenas, including Stampede.
