GETTING TO KNOW YOU
***ANN WILSON***
1. Tell us a little about yourself, your family, your job, your home, etc.
I live in Marysville, Washington, not far from another list member, Karen Keolker. I have been married to my Dh for almost 16 years (16 this July 20)  Our eldest (my stepdaughter) just graduated from high school this June, and actually left home this morning for Boot Camp ..she joined the Army!  My baby girl, Marianna, will be 13 this  month..she loves drama and is a member of Kidstage Company (local Theater company for children). She recently auditioned for and was cast as one of the children's chorus in Iolanthe, a Gilbert and 1 Sullivan opereta, with the Northwest Savoyards. So, I will get to sew costumes this summer! (four fairie costumes...). My DH and I own a comany , Northwest Software Technologies, Inc. that designs and manufactures software for non-profit ornganizations to manage fund raising events (you can check out our website !)  I  have a BSN in nursing, and love my part time job as a Childbirth Educator.  We have two fur kids, Dandelion and Grizabella ...they run the house for us and kindly allow us to live here!
2. How did you first get involved in stamping?
Haha...I bought my first stamp in 1970 to make stationery...and that was fun, but did not get involved in stamping on a grand scale until Heather was 5 and goin to a zillion birthday parties...and I went to a DOTS party and decided to save money by making my own birthday cards. It was only about 15 bucks worth of stuff,,,,but that was the start of a long involvement with rubber...
3. What is your favorite technique?
Gosh...I have so many favorites!! I love doing the polished stone stuff, and layering, and pretty much anything messy...
4. What is your favorite card you have ever made: one you are the proudest of?
Gee... I have made so many, and I never remember to make extras to keep... I really don't know!!
5. What are your favorite stamp companies and why?
Ah..I love Stamp Out Cute, Stamp Camp, Fred Mullet, Om, Ma Vinci's stuff,  Acey Deucey, some of Stampingtons, the older Stampa Barbara stuff, Zettiology, Meer Image, Curtis Uyeda.....
6. What are your favorite type images you use in stamping?
I love unusual, artsy, strange images, also word and phrase images, interesting small stamps to do background stuff with....
7. What are your favorite colors?
I like most colors, especially rich earthy tones and jewel tones.
8. What is one dream you have that you wish could come true?
Ah...how about no calorie/no fat chocolate that tasted just like the real thing?
9. What is your biggest pet peeve.....
Hmm..as far as stamping stuff goes, I think it is the fact that so may companies are not selling ums
anymore!!! And the angel policies that  a lot of the big companies have...
10. Anything else you would like to share? Like things you collect, things that make you happy, and so on?
Oh... well, I love to work in my flower garden and see all the pretty things blooming... I collect lots
of rubber (cat stamps are difficult to resist), I adore cats, we also have stickbugs as pets. I love to cook and have a large collection of  cookbooks. I love to read and listen to music. I play guitar, autoharp and dulcimer. Someday I would love to have my art published...of course, that means I would actually have to send it in to magazines.... I have greatly enjoyed being in some collaborative art projects.  In the summers, I volunteer as the nurse for one of our local summer camps..Camp Killoqua is a Camp Fire camp for boys and girls...so I am not on line very much... but I do get stamping time while I am there!  And the most exciting thing happening right now is that, since eldest kid left home for the Army, I am taking over her old room and will FINALLY have a rubber room! WHoopee!!more!!!
