Unraveled

With all the buzz of fellowship, I walked back through the sanctuary to inspect it for order and cleanliness. Anytime we have what we call an "eatin’-meetin’", there will be plates and cups laying around everywhere, left by different ones that were there. I try to make it a practice to make this tour several times during a fellowship meeting hoping to keep down accidental spills.

I noticed our pastor’s bible had been left on a chair in the front row. The odd thing about it was that it had a pure-white silk cover on it. The cover was too big for the bible and was unraveling as though someone, unseen, was pulling the string and piling it loosely on the floor. Although I was amused by this scene, I continued my pass through and rejoined all the others in fellowship.

After a while, I drifted back through the sanctuary. This time, when I looked at the bible, the edges had stopped unraveling and had been sealed to perfectly fit our pastor’s bible.

The impression that permeated me was that, no matter how large a thing is that is bothering us or overshadowing us , God knows exactly how much to unravel to make THINGS (anything and everything) fit”.
