Notes: The shading here is also worth looking at. The lines always point to where the "me" character should be. The visual joke being that in the final panel, as a speaking character, I should be in the center of the frame ... and I should definitely NOT be hanging off below the border. Actually, that caused me a little trouble when the strip was printed. I'd hoped they would crop it so that my finger grazed across the panel of the cartoon below Making the Grades, but in fact, they just shrunk the whole thing so that it fit within the normal allotted space (so my cartoon was tinier than all the others that week).
