Notes: Not only does the joke suffer from being out of date, the punchline does, too! I'm sure that MOST people out there associate it more with the line from the movie Raising Arizona than they do with the old Nelson family sit-com. I rather like the tall neighbor's look, but the shorter one really has no character. That's mainly because the tall one was a character based on a concept (try to draw a woman with a face like a crescent moon) while the shorter one was just "the other character" even in my head.

If the strip had continued, these two would have shown up more frequently to engage in some hijinx reminiscent of the Michael Keaton movie Mr. Mom.
