Notes: This was a failed attempt to do a strip based on sound effects. The reason I say it failed is that in order for such a thing to work, the audience has to have little or no idea what the sound effects are or, better yet, have a completely WRONG idea that is shattered in the final panel.

We DO get to see that the father works at home as a freelance writer (something I'd planned from the beginning ... so he was clearly better developed than the mother).

And look at that CRAPPY use of solid black in the final panel. Note to self: if you're going to use solid black, use it ALL THE WAY! Breaking it up with a background texture just doesn't work ... and it makes the figure in the door look fuzzy and ill-defined.
