Notes: A good start ... pick on myself rather than someone else's character. Let the audience get the joke through self-deprecation. But I think I hit on a more universal foible, though. You have no idea how many people have, since this cartoon was published, confessed to me their conflicted love/hate relationships with their very first roleplaying characters. (For the record, though, my first character was an elf fighter/magic-user named "Vellor of Silmed's Crest.")
