Think about this...
- For every tree we chop down one person on this earth suffocates. What if the next tree is "yours"?
- A tree not only provides us with shade from the hot summer-sun, and with its beauty, but is also the home to a large number of animals. How would you feel if some one destroyed your home?
- Why not plant at least one tree a year, if not in your own garden, then in your parents, family or friends backyard? Would our example not encourrage children, the adults of tomorrow , to do the same?
- In quite a number of religions and philosofies, trees play a very important part. Could it be because the feeling we get from trees, is a picture of dependability?
- Did you know that in ancient religions the world tree "Yggdrassil" is the center of the earth, carrying the world on all levels of existance?
Almost every tree, in one way or another, has healing powers...either through preparations, with the leafs, the bark or the fruits, or through its calming effect on stressed people enjoying its beauty!
Lets all start planting!
Thanks,
Star
