Five-year-old JM Reyes first had a taste of participating in kiddie contests when he joined the search for Little Mr. & Ms Valenzuela. Aside from winning the title of Little Mr. Valenzuela, he also bagged the Best in Formal Wear and Mr. Friendship awards. Since then, he had set his sights on winning other contests and collecting more trophies.

When he saw the Starstruck Kids announcement on TV, he asked his mom to let him join. She was initially discouraged when she saw several good-looking boys during the auditions and thought that her son had a slim chance of getting in, but JM was the one assuring her that he could make it. And now that JM made it to the select 14K finalists, his mom can never be thankful that she trusted her son’s instinct more than her own.
