Personal Details:
David James Yeager was born in the Early Hours of April Eleventh in the Year 2352 to a Father that cared more about Starfleet then he did about his new family and so his Father Edward Yeager went back to his Command and he forgot about his family. His wife divorced him 2 months later and they split their separate ways.

His Mother was a Medical Officer Stationed on Starbase Three at the time and so she requested a transfer to Starfleet Medical so she could teach new students as well as keep an eye on her family that now numbered just two. Her eldest daughter Angela who as 2 years old at this point and her new infant son David.

Nicole tried to raise her family as best as she could without their father being around and she tries to tell herself that she did a good job but when David was 16, Tragedy struck the small family when Angela Yeager was killed in a freak climbing accident

His gym instructor knew of his issues at home and in school so he decided to help David attain some peace, he taught him the basics of Klingon Mokbara, partly to if David wanted more and also to see if he had the mental discipline for it, all the gym teacher did was whet David's appetite for more so over the course of the next two years with the consent of David's mother, David learned various styles of martial arts, how to defend oneself and others with his mind, hand to hand and with various weapons.

meanwhile the death of his sister only pushed David even harder to the point where he was burning out in school, it didn't help that he was getting into more and more fights with the local school bullies, he used his martial arts training to deal with them one at a time, this earned him much scorn from the other students and even some of the teachers, finally the issue was settled when the gym instructor asked David point blank if he wished to continue his martial arts training.

David was confused and said that he did, the gym teacher then asked him to remember what he had learned and then he asked David to recite the very first thing that he had been taught "the true ninja is a master of himself and his environment, he uses his skills for peace and defense, never for attack."

David realized now how he had made his error, he had let his ambitions and ego overwhelm what he had been taught, worse still was the fact that he had used his skills for aggression.

He graduated near the top of his Class in the final exams and then he took the summer off as he applied for Starfleet Academy. During his summer off, he spent time traveling to various locations and he stopped in central Africa to learn about the cultures he found there, he returned in early August with a rather extensive Maori tribal pattern of swirls and lines, starting on his upper chest and like the tribal pattern sported by Chakotays people, his stretched across his chest and stomach as well as both arms, neck and his entire back, the ink was a dark red, almost a maroon in color as some said he was stupid while others thought he was crazy.

He was accepted in the fall of 2369 as a Marine Infantry Trooper with an Appetite for Destruction. Some said that he was a throwback to Earth's World War Three because sometimes he liked nothing better then to set a charge and watch it blast something apart.

He Graduated from Starfleet Academy as an officer in the Marines and his first assignment was on the USS Obsidian, an old Excelsior Class that was approaching her 4th Major refit so he applied for transfer at the end of the year after the second Borg Attack.

in Early 2374 David was assigned to the USS Peerless, she fought in many of the major battles of the Dominion War like the battle of the Bolian Front, the Second Battle of Vulcanis as well as Operations Return, the Peerless was damaged at Chin’toka, this gave David a choice, spend the rest of the war off the front of transfer so he accepted a transfer to the USS Peerless, an newer Galaxy class ship that had the nacelle phaser upgrade that again served in many of the battles later in the war until she was destroyed during the Breen attack on Earth, David got lucky and escaped while many of his comrades didn't, he also sustained wounds to both hands and his left arm due to flying debris as he escaped off the ship.

This incident instilled a cold hatred of the Breen in him, meanwhile he was transferred to the USS Avenger, she then participated in the battle of the three suns as well as the battle of Getha and the final march on Cardassia at the end of the war.

David ended the war with more personality then when he started it as he had wound up on the USS Avenger until when Bajor joined the Federation, feeling sick and tired of watching too many of Starfleet’s ships become used for war rather then peace. David requested a transfer over to the USS Dauntless and he was assigned as the Chief Engineer of Gamma watch because he was one of the more experianced officers.

The Gateways crisis followed by the Trill terror attacks reminded David that just because the Dominion War was over, people could still die so he expressed an interest in attaining his sniper certification, partly because he wanted it in case he was called on to defend himself and others but also in case he was ever asked to serve in other roles as well.

in early 2378 David expressed an Interest in Warp Drive Mechanics so he began studding the subject and he earned a Degree in Warp Drive Physics and he became romantically involved with one of the Science officers on the Relentless, the two were married after she followed him across to the USS Tiberius as one of their shuttle pilots and when needed a junior conn officer.

David earned a promotion of sorts because he was transferred to assist with shaking down the USS Halfgan, one of the newly commissioned Akira Class ships in the fleet and things went well until he received news about the attack on Spacedock One as well as the other Terrorist Strikes throughout the Federation and now he was devastated because his wife was among the personnel killed on the Starbase.

At the same time, David met then Lt Ryley Kincaid, she had just transferred from the USS Caduceus to the USS Miranda around the time of the Spacedock One incident, he later found out that his wife who had died was pregnant with their son, the effects of this as well as the unburied ghosts from his military experiences only fueled his growing anger at the Federation's apparent lack of concern

David was offered leave time but he angrily turned it down, saying he could do his job and carry on with his assignments and as the Captain didn't want to aggravate him further on the matter, let the issue slide but the damage had been done.

David slowly began to disintegrate until he was transferred to the USS Halfgan as their chief conn officer, here he found an outlet for his anger, hate and rage but he kept himself focused enough to concentrate on his job. However he found it boring so he requested a transfer to one of the more well known ships of the line. The USS Relentless

David’s stint on the Relentless lasted almost 7 months, with the section 31 crisis and the various problems around the Federation, he helped the Relentless and her crew with their missions until the end of 2382 when he requested a transfer over to the USS Miranda.

David's time on the Miranda was rather interesting as he was first assigned to their engineering section as assistant Chief Engineer, for David this was a major step forward but an incident in the ships holodeck because of his failure to follow protocol with his weapons program resulted in a minor reprimand but also partly resulted in a transfer back to the Marines.

The "Indefatigable Incident" in early 2383 left David with some serious nightmares as well as an almost animalistic lust for blood, thankfully nobody was permanently injured during the incident at his hands but he remembered everything he did unlike some others, personally he would have preferred to remember what he did.

In Early 2384, David Yeager transferred off the Miranda as he wanted to go back to his roots as a pilot, he's earned one DFC on the Relentless and he would go on to earn a second on the USS Dreadnought.

He accepted an assignment as Chief Conn Officer on the USS Dreadnought as she went on a patrol of the Taurus Reach, she protected against Tholian raiders as well as the local pirates, David proved himself an exceptional pilot here, earning a Sisko Medal for Tactical Excellence because of his teamwork with the Chief Tactical Officer, after Commander Dragon transfered off the USS Challenger due to her promotion to Captain, he was asked to replace her and he did.

Lt Commander Yeager was promoted to Commander and Second Officer to replace the
departed Commander Dragon and thus seems to be fitting in well, recently he along with the USS Challengers command crew was transferred from the crippled USS Challenger to the New USS Victory.


Personality Profile:
War does funny things to people. Similarly, some people do funny things with war. David was the resident wiseacre on the USS Halfgan, regularly dropping a world-weary bon mot into the stew that serves as the Conn Officer turned Engineers steady diet.

A competent Pilot, Engineer and an excellent explosives technician, David has an overdeveloped sense of irony that could be mistaken for fatalism. "Oddball" earned his nickname after an ordnance accident that left him and Ensign Walon Vau without eyebrows for a short time. He could double for an officer in almost any department without a problem.

David has never had any reservations about helping someone in need, they have only to ask him and he'll go aid them with whatever needs fixing, breaking or anything in between.

Special Notes: Several Battle Scars from the Dominion War including one on the left side of his face when a piece of debris slashed his face, also he has a rather large series of Maori tribal patterns, mostly lines and swirls, a dark red in color. stretching across both arms, his entire chest, stomach and his entire back down to his waistline.
