Biography:
Xavier Bell was born in the country of South Africa on Earth. Both his parents who highly respected Surgeons encouraged him from a young age to pursue an education. At eighteen entered Starfleet Academy to study Science. In 2365, Bell graduated 4th in his class and was soon assigned aboard the USS Journey.

Five years later, Lieutenant Xavier Bell was assigned to the USS Legend a Galaxy Class starship as the Chief Science Officer, assigned to explore the newly discovered Gamma Quadrant. A year later, he pursued a relationship with a civilian who had been assigned to Astrometrics/Stellar Cartographer. In the 2373, Xavier and Stephanie were married and in the following found out that he's wife was pregnant with their first child.

Due to the Dominion War all civilian personnel had to leave thr ship as they prepared to battle the Dominion. At this time Xavier received a promtion to the rank of Lt. Commander. Duriing the war, he missed the birth of his first son Xavier Jr. and wouldn't get to see his family in person again until after the war.

In 2377, Xavier Bell was once again promoted, but this time to the rank of Commander. He was transferred to the USS Genesis an Intrepid Class. At this time was also the birth of his second son Tony. With his family back together, the Genesis mainly dealt with helping rebuild what was left of the Cardassian Empire.

Two years later with a promotion to Captain, Bell was finally given his own command the USS Hera a Nebula Class. Captain Bell was strictly by the book, which as a result began to get into it with his first officer Commander Kenneth Hunt. The two didn't get along for the first three months, but after finally having it out in captain's ready room they found a new found respect for on another and even became friends.

In 2383, the crew of the Hera was instructed not to join with the rest of the second fleet to face the Borg. Captain Bell made a decision to disobey that direct order from Starfleet Command and proceeded to join the Fleet in facing the Borg. Though the battle was a success for Starfleet, the Hera suffered heavy casualities. Starfleet ordered for the USS Hera to report to the Deep Space Nine shipyard to spend the next three months being refitted. Many of the crew were transferred to other ships.

Afterwards Captain Bell received a court martial for disobeying orders. Commander Hunt who stood by his commanding officers decision spoke on behalf of his Captain telling Starfleet that he supported Bell's decision to face the Borg. As a result Captain Bell received a demotion to Commander, while Commander Hunt lost the position of Executive Officer on the Resolution and was given the Second Officer position instead. While all this occurred his wife gave birth to their child a baby girl named Cicely.

Commander Bell was to help with the reconstruction work on the USS Hera, but due to the recommendation of Admiral Peters he was reassigned to the USS Victory to serve as Executive Officer. Xavier was hesitant to accept his new assignment at first, but after Admiral Peters insisted that this new assignment would be right up his alley and would require his former science expertise. Not to mention that the assignment was not up for discussion.
