In the centre of the Main Bridge is the Command Chair. At each arm is a Control/Display Panel, which allows the Commanding Officer to monitor the ship's functions and input direct instructions. The chair can swivel 360º to allow a full view of the bridge. Regulations require a Commanding Officer to be on duty at all times.

On each side of the Captain's Chair are the First Officer's seat, and Counselor's seat, where each interface connects to their various subsystems.
