FORLUM, ARTIMUS
XU-759-068-441

Species: Human Height: 1.8 m
Gender: Male Weight: 86 kg
Age: 34 Hair: Long, dark brown
Birthplace: Kurl Complexion: White
Eyes: Dark brown

Personal Traits:

Forlum is old for a just-graduate but has all the vigor of an 20 year old. He has his hair long and in a loose pony tail at the back, although when he fights it invariably ends up all over the place, soaked in sweat and sticking to his face. He is moderately large and is often seen as a normal person, but this is quite far from the truth. During his Romulan training (see Personal History) he had his eyes replaced by artificial eyes far advanced to previous research. these give him perfect vision in all conditions, even total darkness and he can also see heat. This vision makes him a master marksman and sniper. However his real skill is his speed and skill with his sword (see Personal History) and with his personally designed throwing knives which he carries at all times.

Personality:

Due to his past, he is naturally withdrawn and an outcast. He is antisocial and dislikes authority preferring to contribute in what ways he sees fit. Although this has lead to conflict he is quite resourceful and, to the annoyance of his enemies, has had such success that it was impossible to punish Forlum for his negligence for other's safety. However this has greatly slowed what should have been a successful Starfleet career. Once given a mission Forlum will put all other tasks as second priority and will achieve success or die trying.

Hobbies:

Forlum spends all his time either on his mission, meditating (as an alternative to sleeping) or training on his personal holodeck programs.

Personal History:
Academy Years:
While Forlum broke the record for every combat, tactical, and initiative test he had to repeat his basic medical and engineering tests 3 times, only to get bottom of the class.

During his cadet cruise, he received a distress call and, while his piloting skills weren't exactly perfect, he got marked high because he beamed aboard a hostile vessel to rescue the hostages from the unknown capture. While the examiner deemed it suicidal and crazy, the rescued hostage deemed it brave, and being an important Ambassador for the Vulcans, Forlum was passed, barely.

Miscellaneous:

Forlum was born on a planet originally in Federation space. After the Romulan war, that part of space was declared Romulan territory, and the Romulans slaughtered all the humans on the planet. However, Forlum, like so many other children below 5 years, was taken to be brought up as a Romulan, to become a Romulan spy. At the age of 24, he was among the best actors in the Romulan empire, able to transform from person to person so well he was considered part-changeling (He's lost most of this skill through time and is now limited to voices) He was also trained to be a great fighter, and fitted with prosthetic eyes, which when combined with his acting ability and his weaponry skills make him the perfect spy. However, during a riot among some of the older trainees (who still remembered the murders of their parents) Forlum discovered the truth. After killing his Master, Forlum and a team of other escapees ran, salvaging what they could and using it against the Romulans. This lasted several years, during which Forlum developed an absolute hatred for all Romulans. For 4 years, Forlum hunted in the great jungles, killing any Romulans on sight and taking their weapons for his own. One day he came across a copper meteorite and using his many disruptors forged a blade of amazing strength and perfect edge. He also spent a while perfecting how to make throwing daggers that would fly fast, straight, and deadly. At the end of those 4 years, he eventually managed to hijack a transport vessel. Moving into the neutral zone he took up trade as an assassin, killing for money, no questions asked. This suited the cold personality that he had developed over the years and he made a lot of money. Soon he had enough to get his own ship, small, fast, cloaked, and with illegal antimatter weapons which could cause great damage. However, he realized that these wouldn't be allowed in Starfleet so he sold the ship to a fellow assassin.
He set out to join Starfleet. At first he joined the Marines, quickly advancing into the special force elites. However, when there was a lack of action he decided to join Starfleet, hopefully to return to the position of assassin, although officially he wouldn't be given that title. He then entered the Academy at the old age of 31, only to fail and retake twice.
