Starbase Liberty Falcons. A flight squadron given the task
of providing small craft support for the Starbase. Our
missions range anywhere from defending Liberty from attack to
running escort missions for convoys or even making shuttle runs to
Liberty II.
The pilots in Liberty's Flight Squadron are some of the best in
the galaxy. The Flight Squadron Commander, Lieutenant
Commander Peter Bolrac, leads the squadron on the missions brought
to this department. His second-in-command, Vanya Darcy, is
the Assistant Flight Squadron Commander who often leads Bravo
Flight.
The squadron is divided into two flights: Alpha Flight and
Bravo Flight. Alpha Flight pilots typically fly the Viper
strike fighters and are the first flight of defense against small
fighter craft. Bravo Flight pilots typically fly the
Warhammer class Fighter-Bomber. Designed to take out bigger
ships such as frigates and corvettes with their bigger complements
of high-yield weapons, they are a secondary squadron used to
support the Alpha Squadron.
The Flight Ops department aboard Starbase Liberty houses all of
the station's Federation small spacecraft. Runabouts,
workpods, and shuttles are under the jurisdiction and piloted by
the Flight Squadron, save for a select few of the senior staff and
other qualified individuals. With 15 hangars, a full Flight
Deck, an auxilary Flight Deck, control tower (Flight Deck Ops),
and an Observation Deck, Starbase Liberty has catered to the
fighter jocks of the galaxy in class and technology.

Chief of Wing
Operations:
The senior officer of the Flight Ops department.
He/she is responsible for leading and supervising all the Flight
Operations aboard Starbase Liberty. The job requires reports
to be filled out, assign flight squadrons, making patrol schedules
and routes, communicating with the other departments, leading
squadron into battle, amongst a host of other things. No
shuttlecraft or fighter-craft under Starfleet jurisdiction leaves
without his prior knowledge and approval or the approval of the
Assistant Chief.
Assistant Chief of Wing
Operations:
It is the responsibility of the ACWO to assist
the CWO in the performance of his/her duties. They often
times take command of the Flight Deck and will organize duty
rosters, repair schedules, and patrol schedules. They are
the CWO's right-hand man (or woman) and command the entire Flight
Squadron under the Chief's supervision and approval.
Alpha Squadron Commander:
Leader of the primary interceptor squadron.
The ASC primarily sets the patrol routes and divides up duties and
responsibilities amongst the pilots under his command. He
leads the flight, taking orders and mission objectives from the
ACWO, CWO, or Flight Ops. They are responsible for making
sure that their flight squadron is properly equipped and properly
trained. The ASC leads the rest of the squadron in physical
training as well as group flight training.
Bravo Squadron
Commander:
Leader of the primary fighter-bomber squadron.
Being that Warhammers are hardly ever used for patrol, the BSC
often times runs the more specialized missions such as clearing
away debris, making shuttle runs, escort duty and makes sure his squadron
is properly equipped and properly trained to do so. The
responsibilities are the same as those of the Alpha Squadron
Commander, but the duties of the squadron are more specialized.
Interceptor Pilot:
Piloting the Viper class interceptors,
these pilots are the primary patrol runners and ship-to-ship
combat experts. Being the most maneuverable vessel in
Liberty's armament, the Viper pilots are required to have at least
20 hours of flight time per month as a bare minimum to stay on
active duty. They are the first line of defense against an
attack on the Starbase and are the first to be deployed in the
event of a station emergency. They are most often a member
of Alpha Flight.
Strike Fighter Pilot:
Piloting the Warhammer class strike
fighters, these pilots are more specialized in their mission
objectives. Often used to tractor in crippled ships or
shuttles, make bombing runs, and escort convoys, these pilots are
also required at least 20 hours of flight time per month.
All specialized missions that require heavier weaponry or the use
of the many "packages" that can be armed on the hull of
a Warhammer are given to Strike Fighter Pilots. They are
most often a member of Bravo Flight.
Marine Pilot:
Officially under the jurisdiction of the Marine
Corps Battalion Commander, the Marine Pilots still take many of
their orders from the Chief of Flight Operations. They
participate in strike missions with the Marines and train with
them as well. They answer only to the CWO when flying with
the rest of Liberty's Falcons. They form the Charlie Flight
Squadron and their missions are often times classified.
