Alone in the depths of space, Starbase Liberty is a beacon of light, drawing to it a collection of artisans, traders, craftsmen, families, and businessmen. The crew of Starbase Liberty must deal daily with: accidents, bounty hunters, organized crime, conspiracies, attacks, and the chaos that exists so far from the Federation's seat of power.
Yet the crew stands bold in the face of danger daily, proud to have been granted the responsibility of (in the words of President John F Kennedy) defending freedom in the hour of its maximum danger.
