RANCOR
Frontier
This large, fearsome beast is pretty much at the top of the food chain. It likes to eat other carnivores and doesn't like being around other Rancors. They tend to be canablistic. There is a rumor that a small back-flipping creature, called a Tooke, is poisonous to the Rancor.
A Rancor is usually about 5 meters tall and has sharp claws on its feet and its hands. Its fangs are partially hidden by the outside of its mouth, but they are very long and very sharp. Rancors stand on two legs, and it walks on two legs. They breed quite slowly and move slowly.
Jabba the Hutt, an ugly gangster on the planet Tatooine, received a Rancor on his birthday. When Jabba's employees fail to please him, a large hidden door on the floor of the Hutt's palace that leads to a large battle pit opens and causes Jabba's employee to fall in. Jabba's pet Rancor is released in the pit and the awful gangster uses his Rancor as a mean of entertainment by watching his employee die as his Rancor kills him.
Luke Skywalker, on a visit to Jabba's palace, displeased the crime lord and was thrown into Jabba's Rancor pit. Luke refused to die and had other plans in mind.
