Roms Section
Ok, listen up guys, here's how downloading is gonna work.
All the files are hosted on idrive. When you want to download something, click on the link and it will take you to that idrive. When you download, one of 2 possible things will happen: 1. You can download it. 2. You can't.
If you can download it, then congrats.
If you can't, it probably says that the drive has reached it's daily download limit. If that's the case, then sign up with idrive, login to your account, then visit the idrive that you wanted to download from. Select the files that you want and choose "Take." Now the files will be copied onto your idrive. You can now download them from your own idrive.
Example of how this works:
I want to download gamex. I click on the link and it takes me to http://www.idrive.com/game1/files/shared. I try to download it. It says that the limit has been reached. I sign up with idrive and login to my account. Now, I visit that idrive by replacing https://www.idrive.com/mydrive/?guest=false with
http://www.idrive.com/game1/files/shared. Now the take option is is available. So put a check by gamex and take it into my own idrive and download it from there.
Is this more complicated than on other sites. Yeah, I guess it is. But this is the only way to do this, short of me winning the $1,000,000 jackpot. There have been great romsites with tons of roms, but they don't last long. WWW.Burnknuckle.com springs to mind. These sites don't last long because of the way this scene is. Most people leech and never click on the banners. Eventually, the webmaster gets fed up with paying a high bill and getting banner payments that don't even amount to a tenth of what they need to pay for their bandwidth. The result is that the site dies. X_X
Now, I'm reversing the situation. Instead of working feverishly to try to come up with enough money to keep this site up, I'm using entirely free services to host it. The only banners you see here are put their by the people who are hosting this site. You don't have to click on a single one of them since I won't get squat from it anyways. It's more tedious for the enduser to download things.
But in the end, I think it works out just fine. For the people who leech without supporting their favorite sites and don't give a damn about how the hell the webmasters are gonna pay their bills, FUCK YOU! This site is already better than what lamers like you deserve! So shut the fuck up about how this sites is too difficult for your puny lamer mind to figure out how to use. If you can't sign up for an idrive and figure out how to click on a simple Take button, then you shouldn't be messing around with emulation in the first place.
For the people who click on ads to support their favorite sites, I have to apologize to you. Thank you for your efforts, but there just aren't enough of you to keep this site alive. I've learned that lesson by watching several great sites fall because of a lack of support. :(
But look on the bright side. You only have to sign up for one idrive. You can take what you want, download it, and delete it to make room for more stuff to take. This process is only slightly more tedious than clicking on the banners each time. This site has tons of roms. It has a full set of NeoGeo roms. It has a full set of Impact roms. Lots of SNES, Gameboy, NES, Genesis, and N64 roms. More roms are being uploaded daily. And if you would spend some time to get an idrive, then you can get any of these roms easily and without fail. This idrive server is a few thousand times more stable than what I could provide otherwise.
Finally, these roms are for backup purposes ONLY. Don't download anything that you don't own. We are NOT responsible for your own personal actions.
