Here are the rules, read ALL of them please. :)

1. You must have read at the very least three of Anne's Pern books. This is just to ensure you know how to RP in our group.

2. Absoleutely NO ONE is allowed to have a character who's able to hear all dragons or flits!

3. No one can use Benden Weyr or Ruatha or any of the other holds and weyrs, they're copywrited and will not be used.

4. No one can be descended from the copywrited characters.

5. Have common sense when making personas. Please name your character as close to Pernese as you can – making sure all male Candidate names can be easily shorten to the honorific. (Such as Jared becomes J'red). Female riders can also shorten their names if they wish but it is not common. Personalities: remember if you want to be a candidate you must be of a stable mental environment – no abused characters mental cases or severe anti-social behavior. Most riders are outgoing and sociable, and have strong mental personalities – especially queen riders! Backgrounds: no abandoned at birth, parents unknown etc. Families are usually large – you don't need to list of even roleplay any or all of them though. Runaways to the weyr are okay – after all most children dream of being a dragonrider. However there will be NO FROM THE STANDS IMPRESSIONS!

7. No dragons can be of any other color than gold, green, bronze, brown, and blue. No sports of any kind allowed. This goes for flits too!

8. No fertile green dragons, or else we'll have wher-sized dragons running all over the place!

9. Dragons MUST be in the established size range for their color- not "a little bigger than average!" No having mega huge dragons, folks!

10. No gods or any kind of religion is allowed.

11. Women can Impress golds, greens, and blue, but NEVER bronze or brown.

2. There will be a limit to the number of flits per person to 5. There is a limit to the number of flits within the weyr:
Gold Flits - 5
Bronze flits - 10
There can be more of the rest, though. (BUT NOT TOO MANY!)

13. The Candidate ages are 14-21 Turns for regular Candidates and 15-21 Turns for Gold Candidates as a goldrider must be mature when her dragon rises to mate the first time and mature enough to control her dragon during her mating flight and cope with it's after effects.

14. When dealing with more 'intimate' moments (i.e sexaul situations) Please, please, please do NOT post anything over PG-13!! Fade to black as soon as there's a hint of sexual stuff, please.

15. No using other people's personas without permission from them first.

16. All npc's, except if the owner of them says otherwise, can be used by everyone.

17. No FLAMING! That is the first thing that you'll be warned about. You do it two more times, and you are gone from the Group. Period.

18. No really long, hard to pronounce dragon, flit or rider names, please! Remember all dragon names must end in 'th' and no flit or rider names can end in 'th'.

19. Please remember that life on Pern's not all fun, Flights, sun, Gathers and being lazy! There are chores to do, obligations and duties to Weyr, Hold, Hall and one's dragon to be preformed, old skills to practice, new skills to be honed and always, always, always there is Thread to be fought!

20. Please use <<>> for dragon speech and <>for the rider's replys to their dragons as it's what everyone here uses and makes it less confusing.

21. There will be ABSOLUTELY no from the Stands Impressions!! If you want your character to Impress, then make them a Candidate and ask another member to Search them.

22. No Candidates who are mental basket cases and who've been horribly abused, either physically, mentally or sexually. Most people who create these types of personas have no concept of how incredibly damaging his abuse is to someone. Don't think a dragon will cure it. They won't. Dragons aren't mind and sprit healers and no Seachdragon would ever find these types of people acceptable. A dragon will NEVER Impress a traumatized Candidate. It just doesn't happen, people!

23. For crafters, the ages that are reccommended are: 12-19 apprentice, 20-35 journeyman/woman and 40 + for master rank.
