When the Tholians arrived in the Milky Way Galaxy the best ships they had was a Neo-Tholian NDD and two Neo-Tholian Frigates. These were quickly destoyed in battle and the Tholians had to rely on the Patrol Corvette, the only ship they could produce. In time some PCs were upgraded to the Destroyer design and still later the Tholians were able to weld multiple PC hulls together, resulting in the Archaeo-Tholian Heavy Cruiser and Dreadnought.
The 2200-series Patrol Corvette (PC) was released first, and is the basis for the Old Heavy Cruiser and the Old Dreadnought. The 2300-series PC is considerably different and has been criticised for being lopsided. The new range of miniatures will revert to the 2200-series. |
