SUMMARY: It's a drabble, or rather a double one...if I gave you a summary it'd give it away!

I couldn’t save them…I blame myself.

They were the ones who saved the world, and took all the glory…I was happy being the one in the background who patched them up so they could go out and save the world all over again.

What’s going to happen now, I wonder. I’m the only one left, lying in a pool of blood, the fallen bodies of my friends lying prone on the floor all around me.

The heavy footfalls of metal boots sound around me, soon it will be my turn. I’ll join them in heaven, and meet all my friends again. They’ll be waiting for me, they said they would be.

We’ll enter the glorious world above together, and we’ll relax finally, together as equals instead of as heroes and their doctor. Heroes lost during our journey will rejoin us…Charlie Kawalsky, Charlie O’Neill…together we will be triumphant again.

We’ll never have to worry again about saving the world, about love that can never be…love that was forbidden on Earth will find it’s path in Heaven, and will bloom and flourish. Sam and Jack…Me and Daniel…we lived a charmed life, and now we will live a truly blessed one.
