LAST TIME ON SG-13

"Thank you, George," Bryn said with a sweet smile. "Don't worry; we won't do anything too drastic."

Yeah, right they wouldn't. Like Goa'uld weren't evil. Like Maybourne wasn't slimy. Like Sam and Jack weren't… oh, no. They were doing it to him again.

"Cheveron Five encoded! Cheveron Six encoded! Cheveron severn, locked and engaged..." Mish muttered in time to whoever's turn it was today to make that sort of announcement.

"Shut up." Kat whispered to her, as she saw Cara getting slightly annoyed at this particular habit.

"Fine." Mish said back, "But the blue and shimmery thing's up now anyway."

Bryn shook her head. Mish never did like technical jargon. 'blue and shimmery thing' was about as good a match as it got to 'Event Horizon'.

Cara turned on the ramp to the Stargate and waved up to General Hammond, George. "Byeeee!" She said, "See you on the other side!!"

Then she dissapeared into the 'blue shimmery thing'.

Becca, Bryn and Kat grinned at each other as Becca pressed a remote control in her hand, which in turn set off a small electronic device in the coffee supply to the base. This device spurted out small amounts of tracer into the person who was drinking the coffee, thus allowing Becca, Bryn and Kat to conduct a small scientific experiment following a bet. The bet was that Daniel Jackson drank more coffee than anyone else in the base. Since Bryn, Kat and Becca all agreed to this hypothesis, a small experiment was being conducted in their absence as to exactly who did drink a heckuvalot of coffee.

Then they too dissapeared through the Stargate.

Mish pulled out a pebble from her pocket and chucked it into the Stargate before jumping into the Stargate herself.

"OUCH!" Kat yelled as a small pebble hit the back of her head. She rubbed the affected spot with her hand, "Hey, who did that?"

Mish exited the Stargate in a most melodramatic fashion, flinging herself out and then rolling three times on the ground, only then to bounce up into a crouch position, holding her military-issue gun (who knew where she'd managed to get that from, since most if not all of the SGC felt that giving a gun to a member of SG-13 was like giving Free Entry To Earth backstage passes to the Goa'uld.) under her arm, and looking ready for action.

"What the heck are you doing?" Cara questioned.

"Uh..." Mish got up, brushed herself down, reholstered the gun and shrugged slightly. "Pass."

"So," Bryn asked, "Whadda we have to do now? I wasn't paying attention in the briefing room..."

"Were any of us?" Kat replied.

"Do we ever?" Becca added.

"So, who was listening?" Cara asked, tapping her foot on the ground.

Kat looked at Bryn, who looked at Becca, who looked at Mish, who looked at Cara, who looked at Kat.

"This is getting us nowhere." Kat said, "Fast."

"So let's just walk around a bit and see what we can find." Cara said in an almost official voice.

"Sir, Yes sir." Mish saluted.

"What?"

"Uh... Pass."
