The Ssorans, being reptiloid, don't wear much clothing, mostly a tunic or a sash. On their right shoulder, they wear the pins.
Some Ssorans
wear a third pin, either a Unit Pin or a Family Pin.

Only very few units wear a Unit Pin. The Bodyguard units of eithe rof the Three Faction Leaders wear them, as well as a few very distinguished elite units, such as the 23:rd Space Assault Brigade that was leading the Ssoran assault on New Terra.
The Family Pin is worn by distinguished members of one of nine powerful families (three in each faction). They wear them to gain respect, even if they have not accomplished any great military feat. It is more a political statement than a badge of honour. There are three factions in Ssoran society. The Military - Zstoppa Dom, The Religious - Swatala and The Intellectuals - Mera Kuhnzskap.
It is VERY rare indeed to see a Four-Pinned Ssoran, a very dangerous individual. Three-Pinned Ssorans are more common, only rare. Most Federation units will only meet Two-Pinned Ssorans, as they man the frontlines.
