SINGLE ELIMANATION TOURNAMENT(se)-as soon as a team or member loses a round, they are automatically out.
DOUBLE ELIMANATION TOURNAMENT(de)-team or member plays until they lose 2 rounds.
SWISS TOURNAMENT-everyone plays until there is one team or person that has not lost one round
SETTING UP A TOURNAMENT:
-Go to your td page
-Choose wether you want a double elimination, single elimation, or a swiss style tournament
-Choose the date of the tournament
-Choose the time you want the tournament started, remember, all tourneys are ran on est time zone.
-type in the name of the tournament
-location of the tournament, bl3
-tourney style is classic
-number of rounds is ALWAYS 8
-minutes between each round to start is ALWAYS 15
-number of players per team, for 1vs1, its 1 person,for 2vs2 its 2
-If you want it to be random, check the box next to random
random is where the system chooses whos partners
-everything else should be left alone
-scroll down to ladderbux settings
-If you have ran 20 tournaments, you can charge the members to be in your tournament
-Usually between 20 and 40 bux
-
TO CHANGE TOURNAMENT RULES:
-Click on customize tournament rules
-put in your tournament rules
-below is a set of rules you need to put there, and save as your default rules.
-click save
TO CHANGE TOURNAMENT LAYOUT:
-this is how you change the tournament page layout, add images and background.
-click on customize tournament layout
-Fint an image and background that you want to use
-right click on the image and get the url address from the screen that pops up
-or save to your harddrive
you need upload or transload the images and backgrounds
-to upload and transload, you need a website, like www.angelfire.com thats what i use
-get an account which is free
-and go to webshell which is on the left side of the page
-and scroll down to upload, click browse, uploading is for when you save an image to ur computer
-transloading is when you take the url addy and put it in the transloading place, and click move it
-to get the image or backgroundon your page, highlight the image or background that you want to use, and click on view above that
-and copy the address that is in your addy bar
-take the addy and put it in the td page where it says to
-click save

HERES THE NEXT STEP:
-REMEMBER to open check-in on the td page
-click on link to tournament, and the registration page will open up
-copy the address so you can give it out in Yahoo Messenger
-and you can get the jump number for the lobby
-Member to announce what kind of tournament it is and when it starts
-when everyone is in, close tournament at the top
-click on start tournament
-the pairings will be up when you click start
-first go to the lobby, and put the rules there also
-and then go back to the tournament page and scroll down to pairings
-theres brackets w/ one team name on top and on team on the botton of the bracket
-when you announce tournaments, say my name is on top and nikoles is below, you will say STARLEIGH INV NIKOLE in the lobby, the first team is the inviting team
REPORTING MATCHES:
-When you have a winner of a round, go to the tournament page, and click on report match, click on the WINNERS NAME, and then click save
SAVE THESE AS YOUR DEFUALT RULES:
1. host is to keep track of hands.
2.misclicks:invite td..3.kibitz off: refulsal to turn them off will result in dqualification of the tourney.
4. foul language, abuse, snide remarks and disprespect to td or other playes will not be tolerated, 1 warning, then boxed.
5.no cheating of any kind, 1 warning then dqualified, 2nd warning boxed, 3rd warning kicked.
6.players may not be registered for 2 tourneys that are in progress, and may only be in one game at a time, dq if we find a player doing this, then boxed.
7.League subs allowed thruout, only for emergency, not so players can play elsewhere.
8.10 minute reboot time, or sub must be in seat by the time 10 mins is up or will result in team dq.
9. new table must be created each round, but not until pairing is announced in lobby.
10. visitors may watch but must not disrupt play, visitors must leave table if requested by td or player
11. announce winning team name in lobby in "caps".
12. in the event of a tie, u must invite td, and play sudden death, one more hand.
