Bamboo Plant
I have been thinking a lot about luck lately. Mostly I hare been thinking about my friend Meghan, who passed away in 2003 from a bad ecstasy trip. I had this weird moment, after reading some of my civil war readings, that her body was decayed. And I know it's weird to think about someone you knew and is no longer around, and what happened to the tool they used to use to move around in... but it made me feel lucky. I never really realized how amazing it is to have all the sensations of life... the smells of warm weather, the feeling of a baby growing within you, all of the small sounds and tastes and sights that make thus life so beautiful. I guess my life has just been going very well lately, and I am realizing how much I have to be thankful for.
