My Christian Wicca and The Ten Commandments
The Wiccan Rede
Bide ye Wiccan laws you must, in perfect love and perfect trust.
Live ye must and let to live, fairly take and fairly give.
Form the circle thrice about to keep unwelcome spirits out.
To bind your spell will every time, let the spell be spoke in rhyme.
Soft of eye and light of touch, speak ye little, listen much.
Deosil go by the waxing moon, chanting out ye baleful tune.
When ye Lady's moon is new, kiss your hand to her times two.
When ye moon rides at her peak, then your heart's desire seek.
Heed the north winds mighty gale, lock the door and trim the sail.
When the wind comes from the south, love will kiss thee on the mouth.
When the wind blows from the east, expect the new and set the feast.
When the wind blows from the west, Bardic words be at their best!
Nine woods in the cauldron go, burn them fast and burn them slow.
Elder be ye Lady's tree, burn it not or cursed ye'll be.
When the wheel begins to turn, soon ye Beltane fires will burn.
When the wheel hath turned a Yule, light the log the Horned One rules.
Heed ye flower, bush and tree, by the Lady blessed be.
Where the rippling waters go, cast a stone, the truth ye'll know.
When ye have and hold a need, harken not to others greed.
With a fool no season spend, or be counted as his friend.
Merry meet and merry part, bright the cheeks and warm the heart.
Mind ye threefold law ye should, three times bad and three times good.
When misfortune is enow, wear the star upon thy brow.
True in love ye ever be, lest thy love be false to thee.
Bide ye Wiccan laws you must, in perfect love and perfect trust.
These eight words the rede fulfill; An it harm none, do what ye will
Thirteen Goals of a Witch
1. Know yourself  -  Who are you? Getting to know who we are is a life time journey. We are always growing and changing. The exploration of the soul is the most important journey you will ever make.
2. Know your Craft - Knowing your chosen Craft path doesn't end when you have read all the 'right' books or after initiation. That is, in a sense the beginning of knowing your Craft.
3. Learn- To achieve any of these goals, you must be on a constant quest to learn more. More about yourself, your Craft and the world around you.
4. Apply knowledge with wisdom - Some people seem to think that these 2 words are interchangeable. They are not. Knowledge is what you know. You gain knowledge through various forms of study. Wisdom is something else entirely. It is something that can not be taught. It is that which you gain through experience and intuition. Combine your knowledge with your wisdom.
5. Achieve balance - We have many responsibilities and it can be difficult at times to just stop, take a deep breath , and put your personal priorities into perspective. This means creating balance in your life. Spiritual, emotional and physical. If you don't have balance, you're unbalanced. It's as simple as that. Make time to achieve balance...you won't regret it.
6. Keep your thoughts in good order - Everything starts in your mind. Your thought have energy  that can affect those around you. Be positive, give positive energy and you will get positive energy.
7. Keep your words in good order - "Think before you speak" . Remember what goes around comes around.
8. Celebrate life -  There is cause for celebration every day. Take the time to appreciate what you have and it will help you achieve balance.
9. Attune with the cycles of the Earth - This does not need to be hard. Everyday go outside. Even if it is just for a minute or drive to and from work. Notice the creation of life around you. I also keep the Esbat and Sabbats.
10. Breathe and eat correctly - The importance of eating correctly is fairly obvious. You are what you eat. Breathing is something that is not discussed very much. You?ve heard it mentioned that food is fuel for the body, well a fire need air to breath. Our shallow breathing starves our bodies. Take a deep breath. It's as good for you as a tall glass of clean water.
11. Exercise the body - You physical health impacts you emotional health. Do some form of exercise to keep you feeling good about yourself.
12. Meditate - Meditation is as important to the soul as food is to the body. Only a few minutes can make you feel a lot better. It is also imperative, along with visualization for successful rituals, spells and divination.
13. Honor the Goddess and God - For me the God and Goddess are one Deity, but I still honor the God and Goddess as separate aspects of The One. It helps me to get to know God as Father and as the Mother.
                                                     The Nature of Our Way
* As often as possible, hold the rites in forest, by the seashore, on deserted mountain tops or near tranquil lakes. If this is impossible, a garden or some chamber shall suffice, if it is readied with flames or flowers.
*Seek out wisdom in books, rare manuscripts and cryptic poems if you will,  but seek it out also in simple stones and fragile herbs and in the cries of wild birds. Listen to the whispering of the wind and the roar of the water if you would discover magic, for it is here that the old secrets are preserved.
*Books contain words; trees contain energies and wisdom books never dreamt of.
*Ever remember that the Old Ways are constantly revealing themselves. Therefore, be as the river willow that bends and sways with the wind. That which remains changeless shall outlive its spirit, but that which evolves and grows will shine for centuries.
*There can be no monopoly on wisdom. Therefore share what you will of our ways with others who seek them, but hide mystic lore from the eyes of those who would destroy, for to do otherwise increases their destruction.
*Mock not the rituals or spells of another, for who can say yours are greater in power or wisdom?
*Ensure that your actions are honorable, for all that you do shall return to you threefold, good or bane.
*Be wary of one who would dominate you, who would control and manipulate your workings and reverences. True reverence for the Goddess and God occurs within. Look with suspicion on any who would twist worship from you for their own gain and glory, but welcome those priestesses and priests who are suffused with Love.
*Honor all living things, for we are of the bird, the fish, the bee. Destroy not life. Save it be to preserve your own.
*And this is the Nature of our Way.
