Desire
Desire is a drug that robs us all
of sense, of truth, of feeling.
Desire rules, we answer the call,
It's will will leave us reeling.
Desire, hidden part of man,
Hidden away from prying eyes,
Not easily denyed, not many can,
Trapped behind a web of lies.
The web, however, does not destroy it,
Desire, it is much to strong,
Eventually, it'll overpower it,
come to surface, before too long.
When it does, it's strength is tripled,
Desire denyed will build it's force,
Previously, your surface unrippled,
Now you're suddenly a major source.
A source of raging, uncontrolled emotion,
Desire, Lust and Lovelike daze,
Inside you'll be raging commotion,
Basking in emotional craze.
Maybe, after this comes to pass,
you'll be able to regain control,
Build the walls again, en masse,
Swear never ever to tell a soul.
Of course, just a matter of time,
Before it all comes crashing down,
So just give up, accept and you'll find,
it's not all bad, so lose the frown.
Desire is a part of us,
Desire isn't bad.
Just learn to live and learn to trust,
Live with it, and be glad.
