April 07, 2006--Cyberwalker and Worldstart

I've picked up a few hints that I would like to pass along. First, from Cyberwalker, I got this information:
How much Ram do I need?
128 MB - Windows XP is inefficient
256 MB - bare minimum for Windows XP to run efficiently
512 MB - ideal for moderate use with some photo editing and decent video game play
1 to 2 GB - Ideal for comfortable photo editing, great game play and modest video editing
2 to 4 GB - 5 Megapixel photos open and can be edited with ease. Video editing is smooooth. And video game play is awesomely details and realistic.

Then, in my Worldstart newsletter, I read the following:
There are 2 easy ways to select a complete document or page all at once:
Go to the Edit menu and choose Select All. That will highlight the complete page of text, pictures, etc. Then you can copy and paste the material wherever you want it.
or

The other way to select it all is by using Ctrl + A. This keyboard shortcut will do the exact same thing. Just click once on the page you want to select, press Ctrl and A at the same time; it's done! copy and paste as usual.

Something else I read in Worldstart:
If you would rather single-click instaed of double-click to bring up whatever it is you want on your screen, there is a way to do this.
For Windows XP, click start/control panel; then, click on the Folder Options icon. Select the single click button there under general.
For other versions of Windows, click on the My Computer desktop icon, choose View and at the bottom of the menu, click on Folder Options. Now, click on Settings in the lower right hand side under the General tab. Go to the bottom of the page and the rest of the directions are just like the ones for Windows XP.
Ciao for now.
