January 12, 2006- OE Part 2
Open OE again; we are going to start a message and look at all the buttons in that section. Click on Inbox to the left; click on Create Mail in the top bar. If you have names in your address book, click on to: double click on the name of the person you are writing to and click ok. Write something in Subject. Click on the area where you will write your message and write. When you are done, click send. Easy huh? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OK, click Create Mail again to learn a few tricks; first let’s have a look at all those buttons again. Under File: it looks a lot the same as the last one, doesn’t it? And under edit also. Now under View: would you make sure that there is a check mark next to each of these: All Headers, Status Bar and Source Edit. Just click in front of each one that doesn’t already have a check mark. Under View/Toolbars also make sure that Standard Buttons and Formatting Buttons are checked.. This will help you work later. We won’t touch customize for now. We can come back to this one later. Check out the next button---Insert…this one will let you insert all sorts of things in your emails. We’ll be back. The next button---Format, another fun one to make your email look the way you want. Now make sure under this button that both Rich Text and Send Pictures with Messages are checked. Tools are extras, like checking the spelling of your message or requesting a receipt of the letter sent…things like that. The Message Button is no big deal…have a look. And then there is the Help Section, of course. What would we do without the Help Section? See you next time for Part 3 of OE. 2006-01-12 13:48:02 GMT
