January 24, 2006--Still more OE
Still More OE

If you ever receive an email and you love the music that is in the background, you might be able to save it; this doesn't always work, but you can try and see.
In OE, go to tools, options send; uncheck "reply to messages using the format in which they were sent", also under "mail sending format" dot "plain" instead of "HTML"; click apply and close. Now,highlight your message, click forward and note that there are things in the last line above the message area. One of those is the music; drag it unto your desktop.
Later you can cut it from there and put it in a folder in your documents.
Now, make sure you go back and recheck "reply to messages using the format in which they were sent" and put the dot next to HTML; click apply again and close.
If you would like to collect music to add to emails, do a search on Google for midis which is usually the format used in emails as they have less kbs. than wavs.

Ok, let's look at making messages prettier for sending.
First, open a new message; activate the message area and just above the message area note the first little arrow. Click on it and see the list of FONTS (style of writing) you have there. Click on anyone of them and type a few letters to see if you like the style. You can pick and choose, for sure.
Ok, if you click on the next arrow near the number, you will see that by changing the number, you will change the size of your letters. Choose one.
Next, you have a tiny little arrow to click. The dropdown menu gives you all kinds of possibilities for formatting your letters; try them all and see what they do.Have fun with it.
Next you have "B"; if you click on this one, your writing will appear bolder. Then, there is "I" for italics and "U" for underlined. You can use these one at a time, all together, whatever you want. You can use them for one letter, one word, one line, or more, a paragraph, whatever you want.
ok, you get the idea...hover over the others and see what they are for. Now click on them and see what happens.
and you thought writing a letter was boring...Use all these to jazz up your writing.
The second last button is to create a link. I don't know if yours is like mine; it doesn't work. I've never investigated why because I go to insert at the top and click hyperlink, write in the address, click ok and it's in my letter. Well I think that's enough to keep you busy for a while.Hopefully, the next entry I write will be the last about OE for a while.
Until then, ciao.
