Security etc...
|
To automatically delete your temporary
internet files,
Open Internet explorer;go to tools, internet options, advanced; scroll and find security; put
a checkmark next to: empty temp. internet files when browser is closed. Apply and ok.
So no one can send an e-mail in your name: Go to OE/tools/options/security; put a
checkmark next to: warn me when other applications try to send mail as me.
To automatically empty deleted items in OE: Go to OE/tools/options/maintenance; put a
checkmark at: Empty messages from deleted items on exit.
On a completely different note, if you have a lot of favorites accumulated in
Internet Explorer, and you would like to organize them, here is how to do it:
Open Internet Explorer; click on Favourites at the top; click organize favourites;a window opens;
first, create some folders and name them. For example, I have folders called: interest,
computers, Fun etc...You see you can create as many as you want.OK' once you have the
folders you want, you could stay in the same window and click one favourite and move it
to a folder. I find this too time consuming. So, I have a faster way of doing it.
Just go back to Internet Explorer; make sure Favourites is clicked at the top so you have
your favourites in the left pane. Now look to see where your new folders are and begin
dragging your favourites in the appropriate folders. When you are done doing this,
close your browser and reopen. The folders should now be placed in alphabetical order so
they are easy to find.If they aren't, drag them and put them where you want them.
Now, click on a folder and see your favourites inside. You can click on anyone
you want still, and it will open the page you want.
Happy Browsing.
