If the time on your computer clock is wrong,just double click it, change the time, click apply and
ok.

If you would like to change the icon for one of your folders,right click on it, click properties,
click customize, click change icon at the bottom,choose one, click ok; click apply and ok.

If you would like to change the theme on your desktop,right click on your desktop, click properties,
click theme,in the dropdown menu under theme, choose one,click apply and ok. If you don't like those that are there,at the bottom of the dropdown menu there is more themes online. You will have to download one that you like and then choose it as we did above. I personally don't bother with that. I don't have time.

If you want to rename a file or a folder, just right click on it, click rename; it will become a
flashing name; erase it; rename it;click outside of it. It is done.Don't forget if you are renaming
graphics, pictures, music etc... you have to keep the same extension that was there before, namely:
jpg.jpeg,gif,mid etc...

If you are working with two pages on your desktop and you would like to have them side by side,right
click on your taskbar at the bottom of your screen and choose either tile windows horizontally, or
tile windows vertically. You will now be able to see both of them. When you are done working, go
back and choose undo tile to bring things back to the way they were.I find this tip particularly
useful when I have to drag things from one place to another.

I wonder if you already have "quicklaunch" on your taskbar; right click the taskbar, choose toolbars
and put a checkmark in front of quicklaunch.Close it by clicking on your desktop and see if you
like the new addition. If you don't, go back and uncheck it. Look at the others too, and see if
you would like to check them or uncheck them.It won't hurt. You can always go back and change it
afterwards.There's nothing like experimentation.

Does your computer defrag automatically or do you have to do it manually? If it does it automatically,
there is a scheduled task that has been set up for that.Go to start/all programs/accessories/
system tools/scheduled tasks; check to see if defrag is in the list of scheduled tasks. If it is,
get out of there. This is a good thing. Now, if it is not there, you might like to defrag once in
a while. XP will tell you if you need to. Go to start/all programs/accessories/system tools/disc
defragmenter;click on analyse. Let it do its work. If it says that you don't need to defrag, close
it. if it says that you need to defrag, click defrag and let it do its work. When it's done, close
it.
