Message Rules
Rules for messages in inbox:

You can have all your messages in OE automatically sent to folders of their own as they come in. This is done by setting up rules.
First, you should create a folder with the name of the person from whom you receive the most mail.
Open OE. Right click on inbox in the left panel; click on New Folder; write the name for the folder and click ok.
Now, let's create a rule.
Go to tools, message rules, mail; click on New; put a checkmark in front of "where the from line contains"; at the bottom click on "contains people"; write in the name that appears in your pane under "from" when this person writes to you; click add and ok;
then,put a checkmark in front of "move to specified folder"; at the bottom, click on "specified"; click on the newly created folder;click ok and close.
The next time this person writes to you, it will go in the new folder.
You can create as many of these new folders, and new rules as you wish.
If at some time you decide you don't like this new arrangement,you can go back in and delete it; just click on the rule and click remove, and close.
When you were at the window where you create rules,in the section under "actions for your rules", I hope you stopped to see what the other possibilities were.
Scroll through them all; use the ones you want for the purpose you want; you can even stop someone's mail from coming to your mailbox at all; that would be "delete from server". That is pretty drastic actions, but sometimes necessary.
I like the one where you "highlight with color". I use that one too, fairly often.
This is whimsical I suppose, but it sure keeps things organized, and what's really nice, I think, is that, at a glance, you can tell how many messages have come in from a specific person.I like that. I usually go to the folder that has the most messages first, or I head for the folder(Name) from whom I have been anxiously awaiting an answer.
Another little trick is if you have prepared your folder in advance, the next time this person write s to you, go to message, create rule from message; the first part of the rule will already be done for you; you will only have to fill in the name of the folder and put the checkmark, of course. Pretty neat, HUh?Image  Image Image
Ciao for now.
