February 02, 2006--Installing Fonts
Installing Fonts
XP comes with a great collection of fonts,as compared to Windows 98 which is the operating system I had before XP.
When you first get your computer, the font is set to arial or Times New Roman or something like that. That's nice but if you find that boring and would like to change it:
Open OE, go to tools, options, compose; next to mail, click on font settings; choose one you like; you see a preview of it there, so don't stop choosing until you find one that you like.
Note that you can change the style, the size and the color also.
When you have made all your choices, click apply and ok.
These changes are not written in stone obviously; you can go back and change that at any time.

Ok, in spite of the fact that XP has so many fonts, you may some day come across one that you really love and would like to install on your computer; you can do that;
go to start, my computer, C-drive, windows;(you can also get there by going to start/run and type fonts; this is a faster way, but I wanted you to see the long way so you would know where the folder is.)
Next, find the font folder and click on it;click on file, install new font; browse to your new font; click on it, click ok and close.

Ok, if you have installed this font, and at some time you would like to uninstall it; go to the font folder,find the font; highlight and delete.
I would not recommend deleting fonts that came with your system. You also don't have to delete fonts that you install unless you've gone mad and have installed thousands.lol...they don't take up a lot of space.So, spend a bit of time playing with your fonts if you want to.
Ciao for now.
