I have a photo editing program that I bought and which I use all the time for all sorts of reasons. It is called Paint Shop Pro and can be bought here
You will see Paint Shop Pro on the right. There is a buy button; there is also a try button which means you can try it for a period of time before buying it.
I would suggest, if you try it, and decide to buy it that you order the disc. That way you always have the disc to re-install it.
They are up to PSP10 now; when I first bought mine it was PSP7; I later got PSP8;
I can tell you a lot of things about PSP because I have used it for a long time.
You can resize pictures, crop them, make all sorts of adjustments to them; you can also create all kinds of graphics.
There is an animation Shop that comes with it also, so you can create animations.
There are multiple uses for this program so I cannot go into all of it here now.
However, if you are interested you can download it and try it. If you do that and have questions about it, I would gladly try to help you.

There is a help section also with the program and it is very good.
Now, I'm going on about PSP like it is the only program available; it certainly is not.
There is another very popular one; it is called Photoshop; it is much more expensive than PSP; that is the reason I never got it, and also because I am quite happy with PSP. Do a Google search if you want more details on Photoshop; it is offered by Adobe.
You can also do a Google search for "free photo editing software", see what you come up with and if any would suit you. For sure if you like photos and creating beautiful images, at some point you will want one of the above programs.
While you're doing a Google search, have a look at ACDSee; it has limited abilities, but have a look anyway.lol
