Star Nation Singers Pow-Wow Singing
Aquai{Hello} I am Gordon R. Williams Sr., drumkeeper for the Star Nation Singers. Home to the S.N.S is Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Res, Wisconskin. The Drum is made up of 11, 4 of which are my sons who are the lead singers, 2 nephews, and other relative friends from surrounding reservations. We have been an invited drum at a number of pow-wows throughout the midwest and Great Lakes. We have been a host drum many of times and we sang at a number of ceremonial services throughout our region. I have three daughters that dance and attend the pow-wows with us. Our name Star Nation comes to us from the stars that connect us all through the Mohican people who are now in the starnation that is in the sky. That means because we sing for the people. I have for nine years now have been a member of the Mohican Veteran's Pow-wow Committee. My family was very instrumental in bringing together the first annual pow-wow in a little community by the name of Gresham. We did this for all the Native Americans that attend the school. It was a huge success. So if you would like to hear us sing or like to have us as a part of your pow-wow email or write to starnation02@yahoo.com or to my home address W11012 Little Rd. Red Springs, WI 54128.
Wneeweh- I thank you
