The Guardian Saga
                                               Chapter 4

Mia and Misty were interupted by 8 people stampeding into the room.  Misty was nearly blinded by their bright auras.  A girl with stunning red hair and aqua eyes was surrounded in a watery cerulean blue aura.  Her auburn haired male companion had a pale milky blue aura.  Another girl with mahogany brown hair and almost neon green eyes had a ruby red aura.  The blue haired boy next to her had a deep, navy blue aura.  A very tall girl with sunny blond hair and sky blue eyes was enveloped in a shimmering gold aura.  The man next to her had dark grey hair and an odd orange aura.  Then there was Sage and his forrest green aura.  The last person to come in was the one who really caught Misty's eye.  It was the black haired man from the street, the one who had fought of her attackers, and who had the flame red aura.  His eyes met hers, showing the surprise she felt.

Sage interupted their trance.  "Mia, we need information on a new enemy.  Kento and Sai have already fought one of them and from what they told us, we are in serious trouble."

Mia gave Sage a loving smile that, surprisingly, did not tear at Ryo's heart.  "You came here just in time then.  Misty and I have just finished translating two new parts of the prophecy poem."

"Well, what does it say, Mia?" Rowen asked.

"It talks of dark lands returning, probably the Dynasty, and five new warriors being awakened to fight.  Also, from what I understand of the last part, whoever is the one to wear the Inferno armor this time around will most definitely die."

"Doesn't that mean that Ryo is going to die?" Kento inquired.

"No.  Ryo is definitely not going to be the bearer this time around."

Stephanie looked very perplexed.  "Then, if Ryo isn't the one, who is?"

"I'm not certain,  but it can't be Ryo.  The final part of the poem says that the smallest will wear the white armor.  Ryo is most definitely not the smallest of this group, and there may be someone in the new group of warriors that is smaller that is even smaller than Sai.  We just can't be sure right now."

"Excuse me, but would someone please tell me what in TARNATION IS GOING ON?!?!?!?"

Mia sighed.  When Misty's Appalatian accent began to show, it ment that she was really upset.  Mia gave the other 8 people in the room a look that said 'leave or she'll have you for lunch'.  So, of course, the others left quietly for another room.

With another longsuffering sigh, Mia began the story of the Ronin Warriors.  She started all the way back with talking about the Ancient Clan and Talpa's first invasion, and ended with Talpa's defeat at Ryo's hands.  She left nothing out, even going into details about the emotions that everyone had felt at the time.  Misty could only sit in a stunned stupor as she listened to her friend tell her most well guarded secret.

In the other room, another conversation was taking place.  The Ronins were trying to sort out how they had made such a stupid mistake as to forget that a civilian was right in front of them.  The girls just sat back and watched.  They were too concerned with the larger problem.  Who were these new enemies and how could they be stopped.

They were interupted by the arrival of Mia and a slightly dazed Misty.  Everyone turned to see just what Misty's reaction would be to finding out about the Ronins.

She looked each of the young men over.  Then she smiled. "I'm Misty, what are your names?"

The guys looked at each other increduously before turning to the short girl and making introductions.

"I am Sage of the Halo." Sage said, although she already knew him.

"I am Kento of Hardrock." responded the man with dark grey hair.

The Brittish man with auburn hair went next. "I am Sai of the Torrent."

The blue haired man was next. "I am Rowen of the Strata."

Last was the man who had saved her earlier that day. "And I'm Ryo of the Wildfire, but we've already met."  He extended his hand in the traditional Western greeting of the handshake.  Misty tenatively accepted.
"Oh, I almost forgot in all the confusion." he said.  He pulled out the silver locket that he had found on the street after Misty had ran off.

Apparently, she had missed it. "My locket!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!"  She gave Ryo a quick hug before happily puting the locket around her neck.

"This locket means a lot to me."

"Why is that?  If you don't mind us asking." asked Sai.

"Because it's the only clue I have to my past."
