Guardian Saga
                                                      Chapter 5
Author's note: I have written this story in script format as a sort of experiment.  E-mail your opinion.

Sai: What do you mean by that being the only clue to your past?

Misty:  It doesn't really matter.  So let's get down to the business of figurin' out this weird poem.

(No one missed the blatant change of subject, but one stern look from Mia told them to keep their mouths shut.  Also, no one missed the furitive glances that Ryo and Misty were casting at one another.  That would warrent investigation later.  An so, the five warriors and the five young women discussed the mystery of the new enemies and the poem long into the night, until they all fell asleep from sheer exaustion.  All of the girls, Misty included, fell asleep leaned up against their male counterpart.)

The next morning . . .

Ryo:(waking up) Ugh, I feel like my head is full of cotton.(noticing something unusual) I feal aweful warm to have fell asleep without a blanket.(looks down to find Misty asleep on his lap) Oh no, when she wakes up I am going to end up being a blood spot on the floor!

(Misty chose that moment to wake up.  As soon as she saw where she was, she grabbed a broom that happened to be nearby and proceeded to beat the living daylights out of Ryo.  She only stopped when Amy knocked her unconscious.)

Amy:  I'll just take her outside for a while and explain a few things.

Stephanie:  Serves the little Bird Dog right.  (Thinking)Why did I call Misty Bird Dog?

(The rest of the day went by fairly well, except for breakfast.  Misty learned exactly why everyone fears Amy and Rowen's turns in the kitchen.  After she came down out of the tree that Amy's cooking had chased her into, Misty tried to teach Amy how to cook.  It ended with a distroyed kitchen and a Misty with a major headache.  The peace lasted until nearly sunset.)

Amanda:(snuggling closer to Sai) What do you think about this whole new prophecy thing, Sai?

Sai:(pulling Amanda closer) I really don't know what to think.  All I know is that we really need to find these five new warriors.  They might know what's going on and give us an edge.

Amanda:  But Sai, the poem called them the five sleepers.  I think that suggests that they have to be found and awakened.  That means they could be anyone and not even know who they are.

(Amanda and Sai's quiet moment was interupted by an explosion nearby.  All five Ronins were in their subarmor and lined up in front of Mia's house faster than you can blink.  The girls all gathered on the porch behind them.   As they scanned the surrounding area for possible threats, they noticed five female figures walking towards them.  Each figure was dressed in a black, feathered cape and skimpy black clothing.  The one that was apparently the leader, a tall woman with pale blue hair in a ponytail slung over her shoulder, walked about three paces in front of the other four.)

Kento:  Whoa, look at all the babes. (noticing Amy's fierce glare) I mean, uh . . .

Sage:  Kento, you are really going to get it when this is over. (to the black clad women) Who are you and what do you want here? (there were some really bad vibes being given off by the malicious looking females)

Blue haired woman:  My name is Archangel.  We are known as the Nega-Avians.  And what we want are your girlfriends!

(The Ronins turned around just in time to see gel-like creatures appear and wrap the defenceless five onlookers in gel thread.  They vanished as quickly as they had come.  With the girls.)

Archangel:  If you ever want to see your precious little mates alive again, meet us at Wildfire's volcano at sunrise tomorrow.  Be prepared to hand over the Armor of the Inferno.  Ta ta for now!

(The Nega-Avians vanished in a flash of now familiar black light.  The Ronins turned to one another, nodded once in unison, and loaded up into Kento's jeep to begin the long trip to the volcano that Ryo had been banished to during the Dynasty Wars.)

Sorry that this chapter took so long.  The world conspired against me to keep me from finishing it.  Thanks for being patient all you 2 or 3 people that read my stories.  What will happen to the girls?  Will these new warriors ever be found?  Stay tuned!
